The NEAAAT Times Pumpkin Decorating Contest!

 

Rules

• Decorate your own pumpkin or buy a pumkin from the school store if available. If you cannot get your own pumpkin, please talk to Mrs. Rook or email studentnewspaper@northeastacademy.org

• Only one (1) entry per category per NEAAAT student is allowed

• Carving pumpkins MUST be done outside of school

• Decorating pumpkins may be done outside of school or during clubs on Friday, Oct. 23rd (MUST sign up BEFORE Thursday at 3pm)

• A clear PHOTO of your pumpkin MUST be submitted by Tuesday, Oct. 27th, to studentnewspaper@northeastacademy.org (Please include “The NEAAAT Times Pumpkin Decorating Contest” as the subject of the email)

 

Judging

• Winners will be chosen from the following categories

  • Carving (MUST be done at home)

  • Painting/Marker

  • Mixed Media

• Judges will determine the top 3 pumpkins in each category

• Other special titles will go out to:

  • The scariest pumpkin

  • The most festive pumpkin

  • The most creative pumpkin

  • The most un-pumpkin-y pumpkin (The pumpkin that looks least like a normal, orange pumpkin.)

  • Fan Favorite

  • Other titles may be awarded for extreme creativity

• All winners will be featured in The NEAAAT Times Friday, Oct. 30th (neaaat.wix.com/newspaper)

• Prizes

 

Ideas

• If you carve a pumpkin, take another photo of it in the dark with a candle inside!

• For the mixed media category, you can use all kinds of materials. Be creative! Why not use other pumpkins?

• Bring your pumpkin to school to work on it during clubs on Friday, October 24, 2015! Sign up in English by 3pm Thursday, October 25th
